Mornings can be rough…

Most mornings I have two cups of coffee while watching the news and checking emails. Lately, though, I’ve been skipping the coffee in lieu of going to the gym to walk on the treadmill

Who even likes to exercise? I really don’t like it either, but it is a necessary evil for those of us that sit on the couch and crochet MUST do to stay healthy. So, I get up each morning, put on my Nikes, and head to the gym where I spend up to an hour walking on the treadmill.

To be perfectly honest with you, I do enjoy walking on the treadmill. It sure beats walking in the Lowcountry heat and humidity in the summer months. It can get so HOT here! This is why I prefer to stay in the house under the ceiling fan crocheting.

Speaking of coffee. Oh, how I love my Triple Chocolate Coffee from Wal-Mart! 😊 Add a little heavy cream to it and I’m in heaven, I only have two a day. The thing is, getting up early enough to beat the crowds at the gym doesn’t leave me any time to have my luscious cup of java.

While drinking my coffee, I watch the fur babies play with their toys or with each other. We have Cat Mandu, Bella, and now one of the strays have adopted us for food and a place to sleep, she lets me pet her, but not pick her up to love on her. The fur babies don’t bother me when I’m crocheting, unlike some people with pets, they don’t jump on the yarn or drag it stuck in their little paws. Bella does love to sit right next to me though and she always must be touching me, it is tolerable though.

I found a most intriguing Vintage Victorian Baby Blanket pattern on Etsy the other day and decided to give it a try. It is not made with baby yarn but rather with worsted weight yarn. The finished item will be beautiful, and I will be shooting some videos to show the work from start to finish.  Here is the picture from the pattern. Isn’t this lovely?

If you don’t know how to crochet but would love to learn, or if you do crochet but don’t think you are any good at selecting coordinating colors, you can always get a kit from Annies. The kit will provide everything needed to create your heirloom to pass down through the generations. Get your Kit HERE. This is an affiliate link.

Thank you for spending some time with me today! I appreciate you all so much.

Enjoy a good cup of coffee and just realize how blessed we all are!

Until next time!
